I gotta know....A male or female protagonist, which sits better in a book?
To me...I think the female protagonist is a bit clichèd...I mean, either she is a hopeless emotional or ass kicking action-hero....I hav no Idea if there is a grey area there...The male lead, to me is more spontaneous..
But thats just my opinion
To me its the reverse. A female lead when done beyond the stereotypes has a lot more potential to surprise than a male one. Because the male lead has been played out for years so finding newer angles will be much harder. So year, that's me sha.
Hmm....very logical..but I'm unphased
I love the challenge of a Male leading Protagonist. It is different when you are Writing Romance and possibly other not-considered Serious Genres.
But the reverse would be the case if it were a Crime & Detective Genre. Then having a Female lead would set an intriguing tone.
