This is very interesting, but to the best of my knowledge, copyright laws differ from country to country. This may not be applicable to Nigeria.
Since I became a writer, I have never thought of using any lyrical song of an artist to entertain my audience. I believe in pure creative work. Using songs of known artists may even water down the suspense and curiosity of readers.
Check the lullaby in "Our Husband Has Gone Mad Again," and Animal Farm's "beasts of England..." songs. They were all original. So, let us learn how to be original.
