I'm here again to find your trouble.
I'm sure some of you gbasky Okada riders are already grooving the Okadabooks referal program like there's no tomorrow. I know. See someone's testimony.
clapping my hands together Nice! Want to talk about passive income, talk Okadabooks referral program.
You know that excitement and rush of adrenaline you feel when you wake up to an email message that says, you've been credited while you slept? Yeah! That's how excited I want you to feel every morning.
You should be like this guy, , screaming “hooooooooooo shit!”
The exciting part is, those who have registered with your referral link also get a piece of this delicious pie. It is a win win situation right?
That's why I'm worried about those who haven't started making any money via the referral program yet.
In Neville's voice, I'm like, "what the booker are you people waiting for?"
These set are bombarding my Inbox with different questions on how to go about getting people apart from family and friends. Seriously. You want others riders to get all the people in Nigeria before you put your act together?
Rumplestilskin’s voice: No! I won't let you waste time like that, dearies. That is why I wrote this piece. Read on.
So as a storyteller, what are those three tips you can use to get more clicks on your referral link? If you own a blog, this should be very easy. Let's look at them below.
Tip 1: Here's the deal. You have that story you just finished writing or are still writing. You've posted a few chapters on your blog and readers are going all gaga.
If your story is ready, simply publish the complete work on Okadabooks and set the price at 150.
Then go back to your readers, tell them to register an account on Okadaboks using your referral link and they will be credited with N150, which they can use to buy the story.
So I the end, you're having your own share of the N150 for referral, and your reader's N150 for registering with your link.
You end up getting, N300.
Yes. I know. I'm a genius.
Tip 2: Or you can have sympathy on your readers and set the price of the ebook to N100.
In total, you get 250 and they get to keep N50.
Yeah. High five. That is definitely a win win.
You don't need to mourn the N50 left with your reader. Jeez! Let it go already.
And please, don't think of setting your price to zero and expect to make it up from referral bonuses. What are you thinking?
Haven't I thought you how to be a genius?
Not all your readers are first time Okada riders so even if they follow your referral link to sign in, you don't get jack.
No! Not at all. Sign in is different from sign up. You've been on the internet long enough to know that. Of course, unless you're my granny.
Tip 3: You have a blog where you share stories. Your story isn't complete yet so you can't publish it for sale, but you want to take your share of the ice in the cream. Here is what you can do:
Write and post your story on your blog as you do regularly, chapter by chapter.
At the beginning and end of each chapter, embed your referral link in a creative way. Please, the link has to be clickable.
See this screenshot for a sample I did.
Please, the link there is not a real referal link. I just used it as example. Now look below at the finished work.
You see the blue coloured word? There. You get the gist now ba?
Let us carry on then.
- Putting the link is not enough. Being able to follow it up with a strong "Call to Action" line, makes all the difference.
See another example below.
What you have here, of course, plus the lenthy story, is the 80/20 rule. 80% Value and 20% selling. Only in this case, referral.
Now believe me people. With the above, if you have about 500 or more people...... wait. Stop. Even if you have only 50 or 100 people following your story and they haven't previously registered on Okadabooks, that call to action will spur them to register an account with your link.
Ques: Who wouldn't like to get free money to buy something they're interested in having?
Ans: No one!
And please, the above is not only for authors. If you're a book blogger or reviewer, you can do the above too. After reviewing a book available on the Okadabooks platform, and it is a good review, you can send your readers to get their copy using your referral link.
E.g see the picture below.
I purposely put this picture. You know how people are. If they know it is a referral link, but don't see the url, they will click. But if they see the url some of them wouldn't click it. They are heartless like that. Lol
See the better option below
You see, we used the word ‘copy’ to cover the link.
Seriously? You're waiting for tip 4? I thought I made it clear from the start that it is only 3 tips?
Ok. Ok. I get. You need more advice. Go and invite all your family and friends, acquaintances, neighbours and enemies to register with your referral link.
Don't forget to tell them though, how great the Okada ride is.
If you have more ideas, please don't be shy, drop them here. We are eager to read.
