After navigating through Amazon.com. and the rest of the foreign literary online stores, it feels great to be back in Nigeria.
I write christian fictions, apocalyptic end of the world sagas, similar to Left Behind by Tim Lahaye. I recently just recently republished a book titled A ROUGH DIAMOND on okada books. A true life story about a dear friend who passed away about four years ago. Ours was such an unfortunate incident, but even then she should have taken her misfortune in her stride and make the best of her life as she was blessed with certain benefits which million could only dream about.
The story is about the power and purpose of pain. That pain is not necessarily bad but can actually turn you into the best version of yourself. Though written from a christian perspective, I promise it is not a sermon or a call to repentance,.Lol. it is witty, funny, humorous, deep and healing.
A few people who red it actually had tears on their faces. The good thing is that it is now on Okadabooks and it is free. Please read it and tell your friends and enemies to read it. An Amazon top reviewer who read it gave it a 4.5 and sent a review thanking the author for writing a book that took her from the depth of depression and suicide. Don't worry. it is not a psychiatric lecture book, just a story about life.
A Rough Diamond is officially opened for free reads.
Here is the Synopsis
Sharon’s life was perfect or so it seemed. She had one of the best paying jobs, a high flyer; climbing the career ladder at a pace most people could only imagine. Blessed with toys typical of the fast-paced life, state of the art automobiles, jetting from one city to another on vacation, and courted by the most eligible bachelor at work.
What more can a girl possibly ask for? This was Sharon’s life until a sleeping beast from the past rose and dealt her an eternal wound. She lost all that was dear to her and sank in to the lowest ebb of anger and depression. Left alone by family and friends, she turned to the one who has the answers to the questions of life.
A Rough Diamond is a story about two sisters within a typical Nigerian family. It shows how life can unpredictably change for good or bad. It brought out the frailty of human affections in the face of adversity, Sharon’s emotional battles with God who she held responsible for her woes and her emotional journey from sorrow to immeasurable joy and freedom.
It answered certain life questions we ask when faced with a tragedy. Questions such as: Why me? Where were you Lord when it hurts the most? Why do bad things happen to good people?
In this story, we will understand how a life can be beautifully remolded and transformed by tragedy; how good can spin out of a tragic event and how the human spirit through faith in God can rise above every conceivable challenge of life.
Emotional, gripping and deeply moving.
